Laptops/Smartphone Awarded to DTTBs

Finally, we were able to award the Acer and Neo laptops and Nokia E61i to the doctors-to-the-barrios. These were made possible by UPMASA. More details to follow.

Neo 540SVB laptop

I bought a Neo Q-Note 540 SVB based on Doc Mana's blog about it running quite well with Ubuntu. It's not for me -- it's for a doctor-to-the-Barrio (so in the end, s/he may opt to run Vista on it [yikes!].)

Anyway, it's always good to offer options to the end users rather than just let them get a proprietary operating system that they can't seem to get out of.
